The Power of Forgiveness

Abuse, rebellion, neglect – broken relationships lead many children to flee their homes to live on Kenya’s streets, a place where forgiveness is neither given nor received easily. But as these children learn of Christ’s love and sacrifice, they learn that forgiveness is possible. And as they learn to forgive those that have wronged them, they begin to seek the forgiveness of those that they too have wronged. Reconciliation is the powerful catalyst for family reunification.

STREET CHILDREN

Over the last decade, Agape has responsibly reunited over 2,200 vulnerable street and at-risk children with their families.

REUNITED FAMILIES

Through the Agape Model, children and families are equipped to reshape their lives and futures for the better.

A Love-based Approach

Agape’s groundbreaking approach rescues children from dangerous situations, equipping them mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for long-term success at home with their families.

In fact, the focus on an individualized reunification plan for each child has allowed us to successfully rescue, rehabilitate and reintegrate most of the children in our care with their families.

HELP US double our impact TODAY!

Just last year, we successfully reunited over 580 children with their families. But there’s so much more to do! We need your support to reach our 10-year goal of 10,000 children reunited! That’s 1000 children per year.

For as little as $1 a day, you can reunite children on the street with their families AND help end child separation in Kenya and beyond.

Stories of hope

Meet Samuel.

Samuel’s parents separated and left him in the care of his grandmother. His dad was an unstable alcoholic and unable to provide a safe home. Samuel eventually left home for the streets.

Agape found Samuel, and he agreed that he wanted to try to go home to family. At first, he struggled to get along on campus, and was afraid of going back to school, but in time Samuel’s character transformed. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and sought forgiveness from his family. He was able to reunite with his step-grandmother, and Agape was able to help them in their relationship. Agape was also able to secure an apprenticeship for him in vehicle dent repair where he completed two years of training. He is now working on his own, renting his own house, and prospering.

For as little as $1 a day, you can help to transform more lives like Samuel’s through God’s love and the power of family reunification. Help give abandoned children the opportunity to restore and rewrite their life stories.

Lord, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them.
